Lately, there have been some questions arising surrounding how to troubleshoot the feature \u2013 did I set it up correctly? Why didn\u2019t my message send? Or why did a message send when I didn\u2019t expect it to?<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Support is happy to help you with these issues, but here we\u2019ve highlighted a few of the details you can review yourself when setting up your scheduled messaging, or when troubleshooting later on:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Set-up:<\/strong> Choose Email or SMS.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3969\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-1-300x141.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"660\\\" height=\\\"310\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot:<\/strong> This one is probably obvious, but the first place to look when a message didn\u2019t go out as expected is the recipient\u2019s email address or mobile number.<\/p>\n<ol start=\\\"2\\\">\n<li><strong>Set-Up<\/strong>: For Trip message, select desired reservation status (new\/live, settled, or both).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3968\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-2-300x144.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"642\\\" height=\\\"308\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot: <\/strong>Match this setting with the status of the associated reservation. Do you want to allow this message to go out on settled reservations? Etc.<\/p>\n<ol start=\\\"3\\\">\n<li><strong>Set-Up<\/strong>: Choose which trip types should receive this message (in-house, farm-in, farm-out).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3967\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-3-300x172.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"597\\\" height=\\\"342\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot: <\/strong>Match to trip specifics. For example, certain affiliate messages might be associated only with Farm-in trips (driver status) or Farm-out trips (notification of cancellation).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\\\"4\\\">\n<li><strong>Set-Up:<\/strong> Choose if this message will go out only on specific Service Types, or all (Not Selected).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3966\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-4-300x172.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"609\\\" height=\\\"349\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot<\/strong>: Have you updated, added or deleted any service types that require adjusting this message setting?<\/p>\n<ol start=\\\"5\\\">\n<li><strong>Set-Up:<\/strong> Send To allows you to determine which contact(s) will receive the message.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3965\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-5-300x143.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"705\\\" height=\\\"336\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot:<\/strong> Is the contact information for this person up to date, and entered on the reservations? Is the correct person identified?<\/p>\n<ol start=\\\"6\\\">\n<li><strong>Set-Up:<\/strong> Select any one of your forms to attach to the message (optional).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3964\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-6-300x244.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"663\\\" height=\\\"540\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot:<\/strong> Have you updated or created new forms? Make sure the correct form is associated with the message.<\/p>\n<ol start=\\\"7\\\">\n<li><strong>Set-Up:<\/strong> On a Trip-related message, there are two options for triggering the message to be sent. The first is when the trip status changes. (You can choose more than one trip status for the same message \u2013 for example if you have multiple cancellation statuses associated with the same message.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3963\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-7-300x76.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"659\\\" height=\\\"167\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot:<\/strong> Have you updated or remapped your statuses and\/or workflow? You\u2019ll want to make sure to update your scheduled messages accordingly.<\/p>\n<ol start=\\\"8\\\">\n<li><strong>Set-Up<\/strong>: The second option for triggering the message is based on the amount of time before or after scheduled pick up (24- hour reminders, request for feedback, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3985\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-8-2-300x48.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"694\\\" height=\\\"111\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p>9. <strong>Set-Up:<\/strong> Do Not Send if Status Is \u2026 Select trip statuses that would stop the message from sending (prevent reminder messages from going out on cancelled trips, for example)<\/p>\n<p><img class=\\\"alignnone  wp-image-3984\\\" src=\\\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/SM-8-1.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"694\\\" height=\\\"353\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Troubleshoot:<\/strong> Have you added or changed any cancellation statuses (or others)? (Like the Covid-19 Cancel status?) Make sure this item is updated in message settings.
