In today’s digital age, data privacy is crucial. Offering a secure payment solution provides clients with peace of mind when submitting payment data, while simultaneously helping operators receive payments in a timely manner. In this blog, we’ll explore LA Pay\u2019s Request Payment feature and how it can be incorporated into your Custom Forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sending a Payment Request<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the Payment Terminal from the Reservation or Invoice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select the \u2018Pay With:\u2019 dropdown and choose \u2018Request a Payment\u2019 from the list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Enter the name and the email address of the person you want to send the payment request to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Select the transaction type (Authorize & Capture or Authorize)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. (Optional) enter notes in the Payment notes field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Enter the dollar amount for the transaction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Click the \u2018Send Payment Request\u2019 button to send an email to the recipient.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Using Customizable Payment Request Forms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For users who prefer custom forms, you now have the ability to create personalized payment request forms for payment requests initiated within a Reservation or Invoice. You also have the option to create forms associated with authorizing payments or authorizing & capturing payments depending on which option best fits your business model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      When creating your new Custom Form, make sure to include the tags associated with the appropriate link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Mapping Your Custom Forms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Click \u2018My Office\u2019 in the Navigation Bar<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Select \u2018Messaging & Template Settings\u2019 from the left-hand menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click \u2018Document Mapping\u2019 under the \u2018Standard Settings\u2019 tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Set the \u2018Use Custom Document Mapping\u2019 dropdown to \u2018Yes\u2019 .<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. At the bottom of the Custom Forms list, you\u2019ll see four new options: Default Reservation Payment Request (Authorize & Capture), Default Reservation Payment Request (Authorize), Default Invoice Payment Request (Authorize & Capture), and Default Invoice Payment Request (Authorize).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. Select the appropriate Custom Form(s) from the dropdown associated with the form type you created.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. Click \u2018Update My Email Templates\u2019 to save updates to the system. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      8. The new Custom Forms have been mapped all payment requests sent from the system will use the template you created.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
